Introduction to Sleep Medicine day

This exciting one-day sleep medicine course will cover the main sleep disorders, including insomnia, restless legs syndrome, and sleep-disordered breathing. 

Join us to understand how these sleep disorders are present, what investigations may be required, and how to treat them. The course will also provide a general introduction to sleep, including how it changes during the lifespan.

This course is aimed at students, trainees and all professionals. It will provide a broad overview and insight into the growing field of sleep medicine. 

During this session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the structure and physiology of normal sleep and the evolution of sleep across the lifespan
  • Be aware of the range of sleep disorders and how they present
  • Understand the diagnostic tools and studies that are used in sleep medicine
  • Be aware of the range of current treatments used in sleep medicine 

A CPD certificate with CPD credit will be issued to those joining the event in-person as well as those who watch the recording afterwards. Certificates will be issued 7 days after the event to those who attend in-person and after 30 days for those that watch the recording.
